• In this monologue for a young female, Meg tells the story of how she coped with the loss of her father by transforming his slow and difficult death from cancer into a single stroke of lightning.

• Lightning Farmer was produced in New York in January, 2007 by This Woman’s Work Theatre Company as part of REVEAL, an evening of thought provoking monologues by emerging playwrights. Julia Bright Moran played Meg.

• Lightning Farmer was also produced in 2006 by the Riverside Theatre in Iowa as part of WALKING THE WIRE, an evening of monologues.

• Lightning Farmer is available in a three minute monologue version and a six minute monologue version for speech and oratory competitions
